Cobourg Police – Man Arrested for Fail to Comply Following Traffic Stop

A Toronto man has been charged with fail to comply after police conduct a traffic stop in Cobourg.
On the evening of June 12, 2021, police on general patrol in the area of Division Street observed a vehicle
operating with no headlights. A traffic stop was conducted.


As a result of police investigation, the driver, 30-year-old Pedro CHAVEZ VILLANEUVA of Toronto, was arrested
and charged with the following:Fail to comply with probation contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Drive without proper rear light – motor vehicle contrary to section 62(1) of the Highway Traffic Act


CHAVEZ VILLANEUVA was released on an appearance notice with a future court date.
