Police Officer Taken to Hospital Following Two-Vehicle Collision in Cobourg

A Cobourg Police officer was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Cobourg on Monday, June 14, 2021.

At approximately 1:50 p.m. two-vehicles collided at the intersection of Ontario Street and Elgin Street.

It appears both vehicles were heading west on Elgin Street, when the vehicle was attempting to turn north on Ontario Street and struck the side of the police cruiser.

The officer was taken to hospital for observation.

Investigation is continuing.
