Cobourg Police – Male Arrested for Impaired Operation of Conveyance

On the 27th of May, 2021 at 1:36 pm, uniform members of the Cobourg Police Service were in the area of James Street East and John Street on an unrelated call for service when they observed a vehicle in the area drive into an oncoming lane and strike a curb. A vehicle stop was conducted on the vehicle a short distance away on Division Street.

As a result of investigation police arrested and charged 33-year-old Stephen FINNEMORE of Cobourg with the
following offence:

1) Operation while Impaired – Alcohol/Drug contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

FINNEMORE was released with a future court date.
