Four People Charged With Trespassing on Cobourg Beach

Four people learned the hard way what the meaning of “no trespassing” means on Friday, May 21, 2021.

At approximately 9 p.m. Cobourg Police were called to Victoria Beach in Cobourg after four people were witnessed on the beach.
Four people from the Toronto area were charged with trespassing and face a $65 fine.

Fencing was put up along the beach area with signs stating “no trespassing” on Thursday, May 20, 2021.

Cobourg Mayor John Henderson has called (another) Special Council Meeting to be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 6 p.m. via Zoom Videoconference to discuss the status of the Cobourg Beach for the Summer 2021.
