Smoke from a garage fire in the Township of Brighton could be seen from Grafton on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.

Brighton Fire and Emergency Services were dispatched to the garage on Little Lake Road shortly before 2 p.m.

When they received the call, Brighton Fire Chief Jim Smith stated they could see the smoke and the reports indicated the garage was fully involved.

Cramahe Township Fire Department was also dispatched for tanker support with water.

The fire spread to several other small out buildings on the property and melted the siding on the home.

There is no word on the cause, but Smith said the occupants of the residence when they heard sounds and quickly discovered the fire.
