DBIA – Postponement of the Paddle to the “C”

In Community, Local

Cobourg Downtown Business Improvement Area – We have received significant interest in the 40 small paddleboards,
which were going to launch on Monday, May 10th, 2021. These paddleboards, which local artists painted, would have been added to the storefront windows in Downtown Cobourg.

However, to align with the provincial Stay-At-Home orders, the DBIA Board of Management must announce that the Paddle to the “C” will be postponed until Friday, May 21st.

Like the children’s book Paddle-to-the-Sea the Downtown Cobourg businesses and community will show their continued resilience during this pandemic.

With the provincial Stay-At-Home order set to be lifted on May 20th, the self-guided walking tour will be launched on May 21st, 2021, with the display of the paddleboards being extended until July 25th, 2021. The boards will continue to be available for purchase at the end of the exhibit, with a portion of the proceeds going back to the participating artists.
