Port Hope Police – Man Facing Numerous Charges Including Assault With Weapon

Chandler Jessup, age 23 of Port Hope, was arrested for wielding a knife at a party after an altercation took place at an Ontario Street residence on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Jessup attempted to stab a male party who had attended the residence to pick up his sister.

Jessup then took off running.

The victim ran after the accused and was able to disarm him.

Jessup was taken into custody and later released on an undertaking.

Jessup was charged with assault, weapons dangerous and assault with a weapon.
