Cobourg Police – Warrant Arrests

Cobourg police arrested a man in the Town of Cobourg on the strength of a warrant.
On the afternoon of March 26, 2021, a police investigation revealed that Mathew DUNNING, a 28-year-old
from the City of Toronto, was wanted on an arrest warrant with Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Dunning was
arrested on the strength of the warrant and charged with the following offence:

Operation of a conveyance while prohibited Contrary to section 320.18(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada
The man was turned over to the OPP and subsequently released.


Later that afternoon, a man attended the Cobourg Police station to turn himself in on an outstanding bench
warrant.

As a result, Mathew Sharpe, a 35-year-old from the Town of Cobourg, was released on an undertaking with a
future court date and no additional charges.
