Peterborough County OPP – Campbellford Driver Facing Charges Including Flight from Police

(ASPHODEL-NORWOOD TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on County Road 40 at approximately 12:45am on March 6, 2021. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed but was located by officers in a residential driveway on Asphodel 4th Line.


Benjamin BROWN (age 18) of Campbellford, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
· Flight from peace officer
· Dangerous operation
· Race a motor vehicle-excessive speed
· Novice driver-B.A.C. above zero


The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on April 13, 2021.
