Update – Northumberland OPP – Break and Enter at Business in Alderville

(ALDERVILLE FIRST NATIONS, ON) – On February 17, 2021 at approximately 2:28 am, members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to attend an alarm at a business on County Rd 45 in in Alderville.

Officers attended the address and discovered that the suspect(s) had forced entry into the business and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cigarettes

The Northumberland OPP are releasing images captured by video surveillance from the night of the occurrence to help identify the suspects and vehicle used.

The Northumberland OPP is asking for the public’s assistance with this ongoing investigation and would ask anyone with information to call their nearest OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call the Peterborough/Northumberland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 and not have to appear in court. You can also submit information online at www.stopcrimehere.ca.

NOTE: The owner of the business has offered a $5,000 reward for any information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of those involved.
