Northumberland OPP – Investigating Break and Enters in Brighton

Members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a break and enter that occurred at two apartment buildings located on Prince Edward Street in the town of Brighton.

Between the hours of 2:30 am – 3:30 am on March 3, 2021, a individual breached entry into two separate secured apartment buildings. The suspect damaged multiple laundry appliances and stole large sums of change from the laundry facilities on each site.

The suspect is described as being a tall white male with a medium build, wearing a blue sweater under an olive green and black vest with a black hood, washed out blue jeans and brown shoes.

The Northumberland OPP is asking for the public’s assistance with this ongoing investigation and would ask that anyone with information to call their nearest OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call the Peterborough/Northumberland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 and not have to appear in court.
