City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Break, Enter and Theft at Commercial Property

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating the break, enter and theft of chainsaws from a commercial property.

On February 15, 2021 officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP attended a commercial property located on the Rama-Dalton Boundary Road in response to a break, enter and theft. Investigation indicated that at some time between 6:00p.m. on February 14, 2021 and 10:00a.m. on February 15, 2021, unknown person(s) e ntered the property, damaged a parked vehicle and entered several storage units.

A Scenes of Crime Officer (SOCO) attended the location to assist with the investigation.

Multiple chainsaws were stolen from the business, including:

Husqvarna 371 XP with heated grip, orange in colour

Husqvarna 41 Pro, orange in colour

Husqvarna 450 XP, orange in colour

Husqvarna 221 XP, orange in colour

Anyone having information on this crime or any others is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Information can also be reported anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by going to www.khcrimestoppers.com and submitting an anonymous tip online.
