Cobourg Police – Woman Arrested for Assault with a Weapon

A woman has been arrested for assault with a weapon after a domestic dispute.

On the evening of Tuesday, January 5, police responded to a domestic dispute at a residence in Cobourg, which resulted in a man receiving minor injuries after being struck with a baseball bat.
As a result of the police investigation, a woman is charged with:

1. Assault with a weapon contrary to Section 267 of the Criminal Code

The woman was released with a future court date. The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
