In Local
Today’s Northumberland has learned a Cobourg man has been apprehended by police for making death threats against Northumberland – Peterborough South MPP David Piccini and Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis.
Port Hope Police Staff Sergeant Katie Andrews told Today’s Northumberland a death threat was made to the office of MPP David Piccini along with Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis.
The threat was made at Piccini’s office in Port Hope earlier this week which is why Port Hope Police were involved.
Few details are being released, but Andrews confirmed a adult male had been apprehended by Cobourg Police.
Today’s Northumberland is reaching out to both Piccini and Ellis for comment.
It’s believed the threats were made by both e-mail and voice messages.
A source indicated some of the threats to Piccini indicated he “failed judgement day” and stated, “we’re going to clean you now until the 21 – we’re going to kill every one of you lying pigs.”
