Cobourg Lions Brightening Up The Festive Season

In Community

The Lions Club of Cobourg had a busy day on Sunday, December 6, 2020 with two events for the community.

The first was a drive-by visit was Santa and Mrs. Claus at the front entrance to the Lions Centre on Elgin Street in Cobourg.

Visitors drove up and got to chat with Mr. And Mrs. Claus from their vehicles. It was also a chance for anyone to donate to the local food bank.

Lions member Ron Weibe said thanks to the generous donations from the public approximately 400 pounds of food was collected.

And for dinner Lions members cooked up a delicious roast beef dinner for people who pre-ordered.

All proceeds from over 130 dinners that were sold went to the Salvation Army.
