Rebound Child & Youth Services Northumberland Raising Funds to Help Community

In Community, Upcoming Events

December 1st is quickly approaching and Rebound Child & Youth Services Northumberland (Rebound) has set a goal to reach $5,000 this Giving Tuesday; help them reach the goal by donating today.

“We’ve been at the forefront of our community since the beginning of COVID-19,” said Carol Beauchamp, Executive Director at Rebound. “By continuously providing services and programs to Northumberland’s children and youth, we were sure to adapted our service delivery so it’s accessible to everyone.”

According to the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), 70% of mental health challenges develop during childhood and teenage years. This number is staggering and, at Rebound, they have dedicated and experienced counsellors working hard to support these children and youth. A gift as little as $25 given to Rebound will provide a client with the academic care they need free of charge! And a $150 donation gives a client the opportunity to connect with a counsellor to get support through one-to-one counselling sessions.

“As our community is still experiencing transitions, Rebound’s services are needed all the more,” said Rachel Edwards, Outreach & Fund Development Manager at Rebound.” On December 1st, we need your help to ensure that the children and youth in our community have continued access to the support they deserve.”

Every dollar donated, up to $2,000, will be matched by Rebound’s generous community partner, W.D. Harris Excavating.

This Giving Tuesday, on December 1st, Rebound is asking for your help so they can continue providing clients with the services and programs they need. Give today at rcys.ca/donate.
