Number of People Being Tested at Northumberland County COVID-19 Centres

Today’s Northumberland reached out to Jennifer Gillard who is Senior Director, Public Affairs and Strategic Partnerships for Northumberland Hills Hospital about the numbers of people getting tested for COVID-19.

Below are the numbers:

· Total patients tested to date at Canton COVID-19 Testing Centre site is 284 (averaging 30-40/day). An additional day of service is now being added for the Canton site, bringing total days of operation to four as of next week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).

· Total patients tested to date through NHH (and this includes those tested at the NHH COVID-19 Assessment Centre, the new Canton Assessment Centre, as well as any inpatient, outpatient and community paramedicine testing, which is all registered through NHH) is 20,004 as of Nov. 20 at 8AM. NHH COVID-19 Assessment Centre operates 7 days/week.

· Total patients tested to date at the Trent Hills COVID-19 Testing Centre site is 3,482 from March 31st – Nov 20th , which is currently averaging 30 per day
