Dumptruck Strikes Hydro Pole in Brighton

There were no injuries after a dumptruck collided with a hydro pole on County Road 30/Young Street in Brighton on Monday, November 23, 2020.

The dumptruck was travelling southbound when it went off the road and collided with the hydro pole snapping it at approximately 8:10 a.m.

Northumberland OPP, Brighton Fire Department and Northumberland County Paramedics attended while the driver stayed in the dumptruck until crews hydro arrived and he was able to step from the cab uninjured.

Traffic in the area is being re-routed.
