Vehicle Strikes Deer in Hamilton Township

One person was taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries after the vehicle they were driving struck a deer in Hamilton Township on Friday, November 13, 2020.

At approximately 5:50 p.m. emergency services were dispatched to the area of Burnham Street North, just north of Dale Road for a single vehicle collision that struck a deer.

There was heavy damage to the front of the vehicle and the airbags were deployed. The lone occupant of the vehicle was taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries. The deer was killed.

Police are warning drivers to be extra cautious of deer this time of year.
