The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit declared a COVID-19 outbreak Thursday at a Warkworth long-term-care home, after being notified of a symptomatic staffer at Warkworth Place who tested positive.

Administration and staff are implementing all outbreak-control measures to help contain the spread of the virus, the announcement said, and are working closely with health-unit staff to monitor the outbreak.
