Cobourg Police – Man Arrested for Domestic Assault and Mischief

On Sunday, October 25th, police were called to a domestic dispute in which a female alleged that her partner had assaulted her and caused damage to their shared residence. As a result of the
investigation, a man was arrested and charged with:

1. Assault – Spousal contrary to section 266 Criminal Code of Canada

2. Mischief under $5000.00 contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada

3. Breach of Undertaking contrary to section 145(4)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The man was subsequently held in custody for a bail hearing. The accused’s name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
