Cobourg Police – Woman Arrested for Using Stolen Credit Card

A woman has been arrested after using a stolen debit card.
On October 17, 2020, a man reported that his wallet was stolen from his vehicle, and his debit card had been used at a convenience store.

As a result of the police investigation, 23-year-old Amanda Munro of Cobourg was arrested and charged with the following offences:

1. Use Stolen Credit Card contrary to Section 342(1)(c) of the Criminal Code

2. Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to Section 355(b) of the Criminal Code x2

Cobourg police remind the public to take steps to protect your vehicle from theft. Lock your vehicle, never leave windows down, and ensure all valuable items are removed or hidden and out of sight.
