Cobourg Police – Man and Woman Arrested for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

A man and a woman have been arrested on multiple charges after a vehicle stop on Division Street.

On October 13th, at approximately 7:30 pm, officers on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle on Division Street being operated in a manner consistent with impaired driving.

An investigation led police to seize 442.3 grams of marijuana, 3.4 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, 0.5 grams of Fentanyl, and a quantity of cash.

As a result, Tammy Marlow, a 32-year-old woman from Cobourg, was arrested and charged with Operation of a conveyance while impaired under the Criminal Code.
Nicholas McCarthy, a 28-year-old man from Port Hope, was arrested and charged with Fail to Comply with probation under the Criminal Code.

Additionally, Marlow and McCarthy were jointly charged with:
1. Two counts of Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking
2. One count of Possession of property obtained by crime under the Criminal Code
3. One count of Possession for the purpose of distributing under the Cannabis Act.

Both were released from custody on Undertakings with a pending court date.
