OPP – Charges Laid After Cannabis Act Search Warrant Executed in Municipality of Trent Lakes

On October 1, 2020 members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Peterborough/Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a Cannabis Act Search Warrant at a rural property in the Municipality of Trent Lakes. Officers seized 3,386 outdoor marihuana plants, 525 pounds of marihuana bud and grow equipment.

Deli LI (age 46) of St. Catherines, Ontario is charged with:

Cultivate, propagate or harvest any cannabis plant at a place that is not their dwelling-house

Possession for the purpose of distributing

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on December 16, 2020.

The investigation is ongoing.
