City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – 2,000 Cannabis Plants Seized

An investigation led by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) from the City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton detachments resulted in the seizure of over 2000 cannabis plants.
On September 30, 2020, with the assistance of the Central Region Emergency Response team and Canine Unit, a Cannabis Act warrant was executed at a rural property between Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon. The property was being operated outside of the Health Canada regulations – six individuals were detained at the property. The investigation is continuing.
