Update – Cobourg Police – Robbery and Theft from Retail Store

On Wednesday, September 16th, 2020, police received a call of a reported robbery at a retail store located in a plaza in the northwest area of Cobourg. At approximately 6:25 pm, two men wearing
masks and gloves entered the store and locked the door behind them. They directed employees to the back of the store when a large quantity of merchandise was stolen.
The suspects were interrupted by customers who attempted to enter the store. The suspects walked out of the store, and witnesses last saw them on foot in the area of Burnham Street and White
Street. During the incident, there were no weapons seen or used and no threats of violence. Police believe that these individuals targeted this store.

The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect 1:
Male black
Approximately 6’3”
Wearing black Adidas pants with a white stripe
Black jacket

Suspect 2:
Male black
Wearing black and grey Nike jogging pants
Black jacket

The Cobourg Police Service is asking anyone with information to come forward. Anyone who was in the area of Burnham Street and Whites Street around the time of this incident, who saw anything suspicious or may have dash camera footage, please call police at 905-372-6821, or to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS or leave an anonymous tip online at
