Northumberland OPP – Trent Hills Woman Charged With Impaired Driving

On Tuesday August 25, 2020, shortly before 9:00 pm, members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in a black Chevrolet pick-up truck last seen travelling northbound on County Road 25 towards the Warkworth area.

Officers located the pick-up truck travelling northbound on Gravel Road. The vehicle was unable to navigate a turn and drove into the grassy area beside the road.

Officers found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. As a result of the investigation Nicole KROCHAK (age 32) of Trent Hills, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

· Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

· Resist peace officer

· Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

· Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver

· Drive – hand-held communication device

· Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on November 4, 2020.
