Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Operation While Prohibited

On Monday, August 17th, at 7:41 am, police observed a man known to have a suspended driver’s licence, operating a motor vehicle in the downtown core of Cobourg, Ontario.

At 07:43 am, Michael SURGE, a 64 year-old-male from the Town of Cobourg, was arrested for driving while prohibited. SURGE was charged with the following offences:

1. Operation While Prohibited – Contrary to Section 320.18(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

SURGE’s vehicle was impounded for 45 days, and he was released on an undertaking.
