City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Assault with a Weapon

Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes (CKL) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault call, on Saturday July 11, 2020 shortly after 4 pm, north of Fenelon Falls.

Following an investigation, 78 year old Gerald Brennan on Fenelon Falls was arrested and charged with the following offences:

Assault with a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)

Utterin g Threats contrary to the CCC

Assault a Peace Officer contrary to the CCC

Resist Peace Officer contrary to the CCC

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on September 17, 2020.
