Cobourg Police – Arrest – Breach of Release Conditions and Possession of a Controlled Substance

On Friday May 1st, 2020, Police were on general patrol and located Michelle TOMLINSON walking in the downtown core. Police were aware that TOMLINSON was currently on a release with a condition of house arrest.

TOMLINSON was arrested and officers located a quantity of Fentanyl during the search.

35 year old Cobourg resident, Michelle TOMLINSON was charged with the following offences:

1) Fail to Comply with Release Order – Contrary to Section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

2) Breach of Conditional Sentence Order – Contrary to Section 742.7(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada

3) Possession of a Controlled Substance to with Fentanyl – Contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

TOMLINSON was released from custody on an Undertaking with conditions to a future court date.
