Canadian Mental Health Association, Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge Response to COVID-19

In Local

As the situation regarding COVID-19 continues to evolve, including the Premier’s declaration today of a State of Emergency, the Canadian Mental Health Association, Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R.) continues to hold the health and safety of our staff, clients and the community in the highest regard.

As such, our organization will be adjusting our operations while ensuring care continues in a safe manner, as follows:
1. Effective Tuesday (March 17) at 4:30 p.m., our office sites will be closed and resources will be shifted, supporting staff to work from home and to connect with clients remotely by telephone or internet.

2. C.M.H.A. H.K.P.R. will continue to deliver our critical services to clients while protecting staff, clients and the community, to the best of our ability, from possible transmission of COVID-19.

3. While crisis intervention services continue to be accessible 24/7 by telephone, our mobile outreach service will be suspended and the Safe Beds residence will be temporarily closed.

4. Our essential programs and services will continue to offer some in-person services, ensuring that critical needs are met.

As noted, while operations and care will be conducted differently, support for our clients will continue remotely via phone or internet.
