Kawartha Lakes OPP – Seeking Public Assistance In Theft of Snowmobile

On February 18, 2020 the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call related to the theft of a snowmobile and are now seeking the assistance of the public to solve this incident.

Investigation indicates that the owner of the MSV parked in the lot on Superior Road in the former Somerville Township at approximately 9:00a.m. on February 17, 2020. The sled was in a locked enclosed trailer, however, upon the owners return from the trails at approximately 6:00p.m., it was discovered that the lock had been removed as well as the sled.

The sled is a 2016 Ski Doo MXZ bearing Ontario licence 1AM213, with pink skis and hand grips.

This is a high traffic area and police believe that someone may have witnessed this theft. Anyone having information on this crime or any others is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Information can also be reported anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by going to stopcrimehere.ca and submitting an anonymous tip online.
