Northumberland OPP – Domestic Incident Leads to Charges

On February 9, 2020 around 11:39 am members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were provided details of a domestic incident that occurred in Prince Edward County along with a physical description of a suspect for observation.

Officers located and arrested the suspect in Port Hope. As a result of the arrest, officers seized multiple knives, machetes, air pistols, a starter pistol, collapsible metal baton, and dog spray.

The accused was charged with the following criminal offences:

· Fail to comply with release order – other than to attend court
· Fail to comply with release order – other than to attend court

The accused was returned to members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police and is being held in custody for a bail hearing to take place on February 10, 2020.
