Breaking News – Cobourg Police – Armed Home Invasion and Robbery

On Friday January 24th, 2020 at approximately 7:00 pm, members of the Cobourg Police were dispatched to an address on University Avenue in the Town of Cobourg, regarding a home invasion style robbery.

Uniform Officers, Forensic Identification Officer, Special Constables and members of the Criminal Investigations Branch attended the scene.

Through investigation it was learned that four males wearing masks, dressed in dark clothing armed with handguns entered the residence.

The suspects allegedly stole cell phones and wallets prior to fleeing the scene. At this time police believe this was not a random event and that the address was targeted.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses, anyone with residential video surveillance or anyone driving in the area at the time who may have a dashcam, to please come forward.

No description of vehicle or if one was used.
