Durham Police – Rap Artist Murdered in North Oshawa

The DRPS Homicide Unit is investigating after a male in his 20s was found deceased in a north Oshawa home early this morning.

On Tuesday, December 24, 2019, just before 3 a.m., police were called regarding multiple gunshots heard in the vicinity of Simcoe Street North and Britannia Avenue West in north Oshawa. Officers located a male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced at the scene.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is underway.

This is the 7th homicide of 2019 in Durham Region and the investigation is being led by the DRPS Homicide Unit.

The homicide victim has now been identified as Jahquar STEWART, age 24, also known as rap artist Bvlly.

Members of the Homicide Unit and Central West Division continue to hold the scene and canvass the area. The Forensic Identification Unit has also been at the scene collecting evidence.
