Cobourg Police – Male Arrested for Theft

Cobourg Police were dispatched to investigate a theft in progress at a retail store where a male known to police was observed by store security removing security tags and concealing items.

The male was arrested on the premise without incident . As a result of this incident and other outstanding matters the male, Port Hope resident Cody Puffer age 29 was charged criminally with the following offences;

Theft Under 5,000. X2 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada Section 334(b)

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under 5,000. X2 Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada Section. 355(b)

Mischief Under 5,000.Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada sec. 430(4)

The male was held for a bail hearing
