Breaking News – Over 3,000 Illegal Marijuana Plants Seized in Cramahe Township

A search warrant was executed at a former school in Cramahe Township on Tuesday December 10, 2019.

One police officer said it was essentially a “factory” inside the former South Cramahe Public School at the intersection of Little Lake Road and Purdy Road east of Colborne in Cramahe Township.

At approximately 3 p.m. members of the Community Street Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team members OPP Canine Unit, Northumberland OPP Officers executed the search warrant by pulling apart the large wooden security gate at the entrance to the facility.

Along with police, an electrical inspector and Cramahe Township Fire Chief were involved in the warrant.

Three people were taken into custody at the scene.

Police stated the facility does not have a license to grow marijuana.

Over 3,300 marijuana plants were seized along with a BMW vehicle, a new snow blower, and a new generator still inside the box.
