Northumberland Pro Wrestling Brings Top Professional Wrestlers in Ontario

In Upcoming Events

Fans of professional wrestling are in for a treat as Northumberland Pro Wrestling brings the mat mayhem back to the Cobourg Community Centre for the first time in more than a year.

The matches will take place on Friday, December 27, and will feature some of the best independent wrestlers in Ontario, including Port Hope native Vaughn Vertigo. The hometown hero Vertigo will wrestle “The Endorsement” Sebastian Suave, while in the main event, “The Saturday Night Delight” Tyler Tirva will compete against ring veteran Tyson Dux.

“We’ve got some great ring veterans of 20 years or more, as well as a special bonus tag team match that will feature students from two of Ontario’s finest wrestling training schools competing against each other, so it’s going to be a great debut event for us with a great mix of talent,” says promoter Derek Sharp.

The event will raise funds for Northumberland 89.7, the local non-profit, volunteer-operated radio station. “It’s a great partnership for us,” says Sharp. “I’m a big supporter of everything 89.7 does for the Cobourg community.” A portion of every ticket sold, says Sharp, will go directly to the station.

In addition to the two aforementioned matches, fans can expect to see Ontario wrestling stars Rip Impact, “Remarkable” Rex Atkins, “EZE” Eric Cairnie, “Queen of Horror” Sabrina Kyle, and more. A full list of matches can be found on the Northumberland Pro Wrestling Facebook page, www.facebook.com/NorthumberlandPro/.

Tickets are $15 in advance, and can be purchased at two locations in Cobourg; Just Brew It, 1040 Division St., or Play It Again Sports, 609 William St. Tickets can also be purchased online at sharpevents.tickit.ca (online purchases subject to convenience fee of $1/ticket). Tickets at the door will be $20, subject to availability.
