Cobourg Police – Man Charged With Assault

On Monday November 25th, 2019 members of the Cobourg Police were dispatched to a business in the downtown core regarding a disturbance.

Police attended the location and were advised that a 31-year-old man from Cobourg had assaulted the owner of the business and walked out without paying for their bill.

As a result of Police investigation, Cody TOOMEY was arrested and charged with assault – contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada and fraud accommodation – contrary to section 364 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

TOOMEY was released on a promise to appear – officer in charge undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
