Breaking News – Numerous People Taken Into Custody Following Search Warrant In Cobourg

The Cobourg Police Service executed a search warrant at a house in Cobourg late Thursday (November 14, 2019) evening.

At approximately 11 p.m. members of the Cobourg Police Service executed the warrant at 351 John Street in Cobourg.

Today’s Northumberland arrived moments after with police officers still surrounding the residence.

Several neighbours heard an explosion and went outside to see officers entering the house.

One person yelled, “keep up the good work” to the officers as he walked by the scene.

Numerous people were taken into custody at the scene.

There was so many taken into custody that the three police cruisers which were lined up on John Street had to make numerous trips to the police station with the people in custody.

Members of the Cobourg Police Containment Team also participated in the search warrant.

Today’s Northumberland will give updates as soon as they become available.
