Concerns After People Spotted Climbing Onto LAV III Memorial In Cobourg

In Local

A Cobourg resident said she’s concerned after noticing people climbing onto the LAV III memorial on Sunday, November 10, 2019.

The memorial was just unveiled on Friday, November 8, 2019 and only two days later two climbing on it.

The woman said it appeared as a father was helping his son climb onto the memorial, then he climbed onto it.

It appeared they were trying to lift the lid from the top of the apparatus.

The woman was concerned for the safety of the people climbing it and also said it was disrespectful.
