Northumberland Nighthawks In The Major Midget AA Final of the Justin Williams Cup

Northumberland Nighthawks are heading to the Major Midget AA finals of the Justin Williams Cup in Cobourg on Sunday, October 27, 2019.

The Nighthawks shut-out the Peterborough Petes in action on Sunday morning with a score of 4-0.

The two teams have a dislike for each other and it was chippy throughout the game with a fight and a number of skirmishes breaking out during the third period.

McKewan King kicked off the scoring for the Nighthawks unassisted in the fire period at 7:16.

At 8:57 of the second period, Caleb Rock scored with assists by Koby Read and Avery Cook.

At 3:27 of the second period Logan Kelly scored unassisted.

And the final goal of the game was scored with only eight seconds left by Connor MacGregor assisted by Tyler Watson.

The Nighthawks take on the Gloucester Rangers at 4:45 p.m. at the Cobourg Community Centre in the final games of the Justin Williams Cup.
