Salmon Run In Full Swing In Port Hope

The salmon run is in full swing in area creeks and waterways including the Ganaraska River in Port Hope on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.

Most anglers obey the rules of the river, but Port Hope Police chrged one person for fishing without a license that carries a $155 fine.

At Corbett’s dam hundreds of salmon congregated around the waterfalls trying to get upstream.

A few cormorants were also along the Ganaraska River by Walton Street including one who appeared to have fishing line stuck in its mouth
