Second Suspicious Fire On Thomas Road East of Grafton

Firefighters responded to the second suspicious fire east of Grafton on Thursday, July 25, 2019.

At approximately 3 p.m. Alnwick/Haldimand Township firefighters assisted by Cramahe Township firefighters responded to Thomas Road east of Grafton, south of County Road 2 for a number of hay bales on fire in a field.

On Wednesday, firefighters responded to a fire in a field very close to the fire on Thursday.

Northumberland OPP are investigating and one witness said he saw a black Mazda car leave shortly before noticing the fire.

Anyone that has information on either fire is asked to call police.
