Power Outage For Most of Central Cobourg On Monday

In Local

Most of Cobourg including the downtown area was affected by a power outage on Monday, July 22, 2019.

At approximately 6:30 a.m. power went out in the central part of Cobourg including the entire downtown area.

When traffic signals are not operating, traffic must treat the intersection as a four-way stop.

At Victoria Hall and other essential areas a generator kept the power on.

Lakefront Utilities located the issue which was a “dead end insulator” and power was restored at approximately 10 a.m.

Local businessman Adam Bureau tried to make the best of it helping people in his downtown store.
