Port Hope Police Credit Citizen For Spotting Runaway Child

A observant citizen spotted a 12-year-old boy who ran away and police said was driving a vehicle on Sunday morning on July 7, 2019.

Port Hope Police issued a release on Sunday morning stating they were looking for the 12-year-old who ran away from his home driving a 2015 Dodge Journey.

The boy left early Sunday morning and was possibly headed for the North Bay area.

Approximately one hour later police said the child and the vehicle were located.

“Thanks to an observant citizen who saw the twitter feed on the Port Hope Police twitter,the 12 year old boy and the vehicle haven been located in Port Hope. Port Hope Police wish to thank this Newcastle resident and everyone else who were helping out by retweeting the twitter post.”
