Another Weekend and More Parking Problems Around Victoria Park

In Editor Choice, Local

Another weekend of busy activity and more unusual road closures on July 7, 2019 in Cobourg

Despite a Classic Car Show that filled Victoria Park south of Queen Street, Queen Street between McGill Street and Church Street was closed on Sunday.  Along with that, there was no parking on the west side of Church Street south of Queen Street.

Along with the Classic Car Show, there was a beach volleyball tournament and Provincial Youth Lawn Bowling Championships taking place.

It’s unknown why the road was closed and there was no parking along Church Street.  Both areas remained free of vehicles which would help alleviate parking issues and would also generate a bit of income.
