The Town of Cobourg has issued a press release to notify everyone that Cobourg Transit will continue to operate on on Canada Day – Monday, July 1 – and that, furthermore, Cobourg Transit is free to all riders during the Waterfront Festival.

Hours of operation that day will be 6:15 a.m. through 7:45 p.m., and there will be a detour posted to accommodate the Canada Day parade.
The town is also offering residents and citizens a free Waterfront Festival shuttle for easier access to the festivities.

Two buses will be in operation with five drop-off locations around the festival site. Pick-up will take place in three locations – Northumberland Mall (1111 Elgin St. E.), Cobourg Community Centre (750 D’Arcy St.) and Donegan Park (25 D’Arcy St.) – and parking is free at all three.

Pick-ups begin at 9:30 June 29 through July 1. The service will run through 11 p.m. June 29 and 30, and until midnight July 1.

For more information, call the engineering department at 905-372-4555.
