Night Sky Over A Calm Lake Ontario

In Photo Gallery, Weather

Lake Ontario has shown us it’s fury over the last several days, but lately the lake has been almost still during the evening hours.

On Wednesday, June 19, 2019 Today’s Northumberland took a variety of photos along the lakeshore at Cobourg beach.

One photo shows a red dot streaking over the blue night sky which is actually a helicopter from 424 Squadron from CFB Trenton that had just finishing training with the Coast Guard from Cobourg.

With the lifeguard stand in the foreground you can make out the lights from across the lake.

And the moon trying to break through the clouds.
