Northumberland OPP – Break and Enter at Roseneath Public School

In Police Blotter

Members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a break and enter that occurred at the Roseneath Public School located on County Road 25 in Alnwick-Haldimand Township.

Shortly before 1:00 am on Friday May 24, 2019 officers were informed by a security company that they were receiving several alarms coming from a portable located on the school property.

When officers arrived on scene they found one of the portable had been entered, rummaged through and in a state of disarray. Numerous screens were found to be cut and ripped off the main school building and a rear door window had been smashed. Various school supplies were scattered along the exterior of the school. The suspect(s) were no longer at the location and no items have been reported stolen.

The Northumberland OPP is asking for the public’s assistance with this ongoing investigation and would ask that anyone with information to call their nearest OPP detachment. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call the Peterborough/Northumberland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). You can also submit information online at www.stopcrimehere.ca.
